FVOA is accepting nominations for three prestigious awards: PLANT of the YEAR, OPERATOR of the YEAR, and CRITICAL CONTRIBUTOR AWARD. These honors recognize excellence, dedication, and outstanding performance. We encourage members to nominate individuals or facilities that have made a significant impact this year. PLANT OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes a wastewater facility that has demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and commitment to excellence of the past year. This award honors plants that consistently meets or exceeds regulatory standards, implements effective operational practices, and contributes positively to their community and the environment. Nominees should showcase outstanding teamwork, proactive maintenance, safety practices, and a dedication to sustainability and service.
OPERATOR OF THE YEAR
This award honors an individual who shows excellent skill, dedication, and professionalism in the operation of a wastewater facility. This award recognizes an operator who goes above and beyond their daily responsibilities, demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, maintains a high standard of compliance and safety, and contributes positively to their team and community. Critical Contributor Award
This award recognizes an individual - whether an operator, technician, administrator, or support staff- who plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in the success of a wastewater facility. This award honors those whose dedication, reliability, and expertise often go unrecognized but are essential to the smooth and effective operation of their organization. Nominees show a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and a willingness to support others.
Awards will be present at the FVOA Annual Conference. Nominations need to be submitted no later than August 1, 2025. Voting will commence after nominations conclude.
